The Healthy Start Coalition of Miami-Dade is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) with the goal of reducing infant mortality, reducing the number of low birth weight babies & improving maternal/infant health and developmental outcomes. We seek business and social service professionals who want to grow with us and make a difference in the lives of families and children in our community. Current positions available as of February 1, 2012:
POSITION TITLE: MOMCARE PROGRAM MANAGER
This FT position with MomCare Program supervises staff who facilitate access to prenatal care for pregnant women on Medicaid. Requirements: MS in social services, health education or related field with 2-4 years exp. Knowledge of Miami-Dade County geographic service area. Excellent communication skills required. Computer literacy is a must.
POSITION TITLE: MATERNAL CARE ADVISOR
This FT position with MomCare Program facilitates access to prenatal care for pregnant women on Medicaid. Requirements: BS in social services, health education or related field with 2-4 years exp. Knowledge of Miami-Dade County geographic service area with local travel involved. Must have reliable transportation. Heavy phone work involved therefore excellent telephone communication skills required. Bilingual English/Creole or English/Spanish preferred. Computer literacy is a must.

* Health education (childbirth education, lactation consultant, parenting, women and infant/toddler health)
* Training education/ coordination
* Quality improvement/ assurance
* Data analysis
* Data inputting
* Graphic/ art work design
* Visual communication/ social media marketing
* Grant writing
* Outreach/event planning and coordination
