The Healthy Start Coalition of Miami-Dade is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) with the goal of reducing infant mortality, reducing the number of low birth weight babies & improving maternal/infant health and developmental outcomes. We seek business and social service professionals who want to grow with us and make a difference in the lives of families and children in our community. Current positions available as of July 1, 2010: 

POSITION TITLE: PROGRAM SPECIALIST
This FT position with MomCare Program facilitates access to prenatal care for pregnant women. Masters Degree in social services or related field preferred. Familiarity with social services in the field of maternal, infant and child health and Medicaid a must. Local travel involved. Must have reliable transportation. Excellent communication skills required. Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Creole preferred. Computer literacy is a must.

POSITION TITLE: MATERNAL CARE ADVISOR
This FT position with MomCare Program facilitates access to prenatal care for pregnant women on Medicaid.  Requirements:  BS in social services, health education or related field with 2-4 years exp.  Knowledge of Miami-Dade County geographic service area with local travel involved.  Must have reliable transportation.  Heavy phone work involved therefore excellent telephone communication skills required. Bilingual English/Creole or English/Spanish preferred.  Computer literacy is a must.

POSITION TITLE: COMMUNITY LIAISON
This FT position with MomCare Program is primarily responsible for provider and community outreach including private and public maternity care providers, hospitals and pediatricians to ensure successful implementation of the program. Req: BS in social services, health education or related field with 2-4 years exp.  Local travel involved.  Must have reliable transportation.  Excellent communication skills required. Bilingual English/Creole or English/Spanish preferred.  Computer literacy is a must.

POSITION TITLE: MEDICAL RECORDS ABSTRACTOR
This PT position will work with the Fetal Infant Mortality Review Project. BS nursing preferred or clinical background in obstetrics, pediatrics, neonatology or perinatology. Experience in medical records abstraction preferred. Reliable transportation required. Computer proficiency, ability to communicate clearly and concisely (verbal and written) and ability to work independently a must. Individuals with and attention to detail are encouraged to apply.

POSITION TITLEADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 
This PT position provides high level administrative support by performing clerical functions such as answering phones, preparing mailings, data entry and taking minutes.  Req:  High School Diploma  with 1-2 years exp.  Local travel involved.  Must have reliable transportation.  Excellent communication skills required. Bilingual English/Creole or English/Spanish preferred.  Computer literacy is a must.
