Interconceptional Care Project

Funded by the Florida Department of Health this project expands existing outreach activities and promotes health education through:

• the distribution of preconception educational materials;
• educational classes for women of childbearing age;
• targeted outreach to mothers with a previous fetal or infant death and low income women who have given birth in the last 12 months; and,
• a social marketing campaign.

The project will also increase provider awareness through community based educational services and training initiatives including clinical training via professional development workshops and the certification of local community agencies in Interconceptional Care Education.
