My name is Guadalupe Garcia and I was born in Miami. My ethnic background is Cuban and Mexican. I earned an Associate Arts Degree in Psychology from Miami Dade College and a Bachelor’s Degree from Florida International University with a minor in criminal justice.  I am currently pursing my Master Degree in Mental Health at Carlos Albizu University. I have five years experience working in the social service field with various populations especially with the mental health population.  I am glad to be working as a family coach with women and being able to support and educate them on prenatal and postnatal care so they could have a healthy pregnancy and baby. With my experience and skills hope to teach them how to use the resources in the community.

My name is Lilia M. Luciano, I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I have a Bachelor Degree in Arts and Science and many years of experience working with Domestic Violence Programs. I moved to Miami in March 2007 were I started working with this marvelous and unique program, HealthConnect In The Early Years. I love to visit all my future moms’ participants and also enjoyed every visit with the newborns and babies.

My name is Myrlene Joseph. I was born in Haiti and grew up in Canada. Then I moved to Miami almost 20 years ago. I have been working in this field for about 9 years. I enjoy working with pregnant women and educating them on how to improve themselves and continue their education. I was given a chance to work with Healthy Start Coalition of Miami Dade to continue doing what I enjoy to do.

Hi, my name is Yariela Sequeira. I was born in Managua, Nicaragua. I have a bachelor’s in Psychology, so as you can imagine I enjoy working with individuals and families and being a witness to wonderful changes in their lives. Through HealthConnect In The Early Years I’ve learned so much about what a family can experience through pregnancy and baby care, that I am grateful to all my participants for the teachings gained, and I feel delighted that I can share such learnings with other families as well.
